I’ve spent the last 20 minutes trying to remember a song and an the artist so I can “listen to it”. The only thing I remember is:
1. it was popular and played on the radio in 2017 maybe 2016
2. it was released with three other songs in sequence and told a story
3. it was rock/pop not too cheesy maybe like a bit more serious imagine dragons
4. The story starts with a woman getting into a taxi and kind of reliving her past, how she raised a kid and worked hard and separated from her husband-possibly abusive or alco holic.
5. And writing this down I found it.

Super relatable. There is a song right ow that I’m tryin to remember I’ve been trying to remover for several days. I remember it because of a similar opening guitar in this cover of the Elvis song.
The song I’m trying to remember was song by a woman and was a country song from I think the 90’s or early 2000’s.
P.S. Suriel Hess is an awesome song writer and a self taught singer/player. I’m subscribed and you should too

I did the same, but for a YouTube advert. On first watch I was so absolutely mesmerised by it that I completely ignored what the advert was about. I spent weeks googling search terms like ‘little girl teddy bear drugs advert’, ‘girl christmas cunt on window drugs ’ to no avail. I can only imagine the list I’m now on for using those search terms...
And then I found it while strolling the YouTubes ; an advert for a pianist, of all things :

If I get a song stuck in my head, it’s probably a Swedish pop song that’s not available for purchase in the U.S. (iTunes Music Store, Amazon).
It’s a global economy, except when it isn’t. >_<
